Krka National Park

Krka National Park is located on the border between northern and central Dalmatia, near Šibenik. The Krka river is incredibly beautiful, full of misteries and it is a real natural phenomenon in this part of Europe. Its waters flow through the rocky area and have served to people from ancient times. People started to build settlements and to use natural resources of the river and the surrounding area long ago. The Krka river and its area became a national park in 1985. It is the seventh and the youngest national park in Croatia. It is located in Šibensko – kninska county, and covers the area of 109 square kilometres. The source of the river is located at the foot of Dinara, near Knin, while its estuary is in the Adriatic.

The richness of the flora and fauna of the park and beautiful landscapes will definitely turn a visit to the park into a revival of the body and soul.
